My Tour to Kodaikanal (Tamil Nadu)

 
Today I am going to share Kodaikanal tour plan Kodaikanal is a beautiful hill station of the India located in the state of Tamilnadu, this place is also one of the most Honeymoon Destination. Nestled amidst the slopes of Palani hills, this place has cool and pleasant weather throughout the year. that's why you may visit this place any time, but it is better to avoid monsoon, which is from July to September. At an altitude of almost 7000 feet. In this place you will find Scenic water falls, fresh green mountain slopes, and Crystal clear lakes. 
In order to go to Kodaikanal first reach Trichy Airport from any part of the country from there take a car to reach Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is nearly 200 kilometer from Trichy and it takes almost 5 hours to Kodaikanal from Trichy by road. Here are a short 2 days tour plan of this princess of hill station.



Day 1:-
Local site seen Tour: Coakers walk: Coakers walk is a beautiful Man made 1 kilometer long walking path build on the mountain. In the Kodaikanal city it offers Gorgeous view of the surroundings.
Next go to Kodai Lake: Kodaikanal lake is a Manmade lake in the city which is also known as Kodai Lake. The starship lake is centrally located in Kodaikanal and it surrounded by the lush Green hills of the northwestern. 
From there go to Bear Shola Falls: Shola falls located at the distance of just 2 kilometer from the Kodaikanal lake. The Bear Shola Falls is a popular tourist spot in the region. The quite and peaceful atmosphere of this destination is a true heaven on the earth. 


Next go to Pine Forest: Pine Forest situated in the south east side of the Kodaikanal. Pine Forest is one of the most famous forest spot in the city. It showcase mesmerizing nature.
Next destination is Silver Cascade Water Falls: The silver Cascade falls from de...  the over flowing of the famous Mainmade Kodai lake and a peaceful way to have a break while on a long trip.
Next go to Thalaiyar Falls: It is also known as Rat tail falls. Thalaiyar Falls is located in the large bring slop is the Palani hills in Kodaikanal with a height of 297 meters is a highest water fall in Tamilnadu.



Day 2:
Upper Lake View: Upper Lake View situated 3.2 kilometer away from the Coakers walk. Upper view is a famous tourist attraction in Kodaikanal and one which is worth visiting on the way to green valley view point.
Next go to Fairy Falls: The enchanting is a source of pambar river which joins in to the Vaigai river later on. 
From there go to Pillar Rock: Pillar Rock Constituting a beautiful mini garden the place is named so as it is 3 vertically position boulders reaching up to a height of 400 feet. 
From there visit Dolphins Nose: Dolphins Nose view point is where you can experience Kodaikanal. At this place enjoy the stunning beauty of the hill station here.


Next go to Green Valley View Point: Green Valley View Point formally known as suicide point. The green valley view point offers a breathtaking view of the plants valley's and the hills. The mesmeric view of the Vaigai Damm from here is a lifetime experience.
From there go to Silent Valley View Point: Silent Valley View Point is located close to the pillar Rock garden in Kodaikanal. 

Where to stay: There are several hotels and home stay available in Kodaikanal. Most of each have online booking facility. 
When I and my husband went to Kodaikanal, we booked a "Pleasant Stay" hotel. This hotel was in a very reasonable price and the hotel location was also very good. The most special thing about this hotel was that the food of this hotel was very tasty. So whenever you plan for Kodaikanal, you can search this hotel too.
